Current Practice:
I have a passion for helping individuals discover their ability to heal on the emotional, spiritual and physical levels. I work with adults who are experiencing life transitions, struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression and other effects of trauma. I have successfully integrated evidenced based practices with holistic modalities to form a holistic hybrid approach to treat clients on a deeper level.
Background:
Billie has practiced as a clinical therapist in private practice for over 10 years, working in various settings to help individuals realize personal growth. Billie earned her Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University where she participated in a study abroad program in Central America. Billie is EMDR trained and she is currently earning her credential in psychedelic assisted therapy. Billie has studied Core Shamanism* and is trained in Shamanic healing techniques. She is affiliated with the Tao community and has presented on healthy relationships and emotional intelligence for temple youth programs in Detroit and SanFrancisco. Billie is a level II Reiki practitioner and continues to work on new ways of bridging her clinical experience and training with the energetic work she feels called to practice.
Personal Philosophy:
Since spirituality is a key component to our overall being, Billie believes that it is important for individuals to explore their spirituality. Billie approaches spirituality with an open mind and is available for guidance and spiritual counsel.
